Partial Truckload

Special Service Transportation offers a service where you only pay for the amount of space you are taking up! If you have 10 pallets to ship, we will find another load to fill out the truck, or find a truck that is already moving in the same direction. Shipping with our partial truckload service gives you the ability to only pay for the space your freight is taking up, rather than for an entire 48 or 53 foot trailer. There are several options that go along with the partial truckload service:

Dry Van Partial

This is a service for freight that needs to be shipped in an enclosed trailer. Normally this freight is palletized so that it can be easily moved on and off the truck. Shipping on a dry van trailer is usually the cheaper form of partial shipping, and this service is offered through our asset based division as well as our brokerage division!

Flatbed Partial

If you have freight that needs to be shipped on a flatbed trailer, you can still utilize our partial service. Flatbeds are generally used for freight that needs to be loaded or unloaded from the side of the trailer, or for freight that can not be moved once it is loaded onto the trailer. Flatbed partials can be booked with or without tarps to cover your freight during transit. Since our asset based fleet consists of dry van trailers, our flatbed partial service is offered through our brokerage division. By using our contracted carriers, we will not only save you money, but we offer you a wide variety of trailer availability as well.
